A Teachers' Impact
Words are indeed powerful, and they can either break, attack you, or build you. If you've watched a movie titled RECITATION ( A Mount Zion movie).
This is the script of my life journey as a student or should l say a copy story of me.
Pardon me l didn't mention my name before continuing with our conversation. I am Adeyemi Anita, the little girl with potential and some people don't believe in her still.
Anyway let me take you back to the movie, because for me it's awakening my testimony as a student. Imagine what if that kind of teacher that impacted my life greatly was not in the school.
This movie tells us that words are powerful!
Testimony is a great child; despite his challenge, God still makes him a living testimony.
The movie awakens my testimony.
It reminds me of when l was in JSS2.
There's a particular teacher who taught Economics and Agricultural science than in my secondary school days.
She doesn't like my personality and says lot of negative words about me, l don't know why and l never ask her why. But l sense it was my ability in academic .
She always put me back of everything in class and always putting everybody who are more intelligent than me. She always think am nothing and nothing can come out of me.
My English teacher, Mr olaitan will always keep my hopes alive. He so much believes in me to the point l knew there's more to me
Her anger and hatred towards me was something l will tell my parents when l got home. I didn't hate are back or think of something bad to happen to her.
My class was organizing a class mathematics competition, so they have select participant for the competition with a cash prizes
Some teachers were picking randomly and the most intelligent ones but my English teacher, Mr olaitan insist that it should be general and anyone who wins should take the cash prize.
I was happy about the changes because if they should do the selection process, l will never be part of the competition.
I study hard , the funniest part is that l hate mathematics eehnnn....
If you ask me apart from devil what else do you hate again "Na mathematics"😂.
That was my own Goliath and my hands l had the five stone which was Mr Olaitan and l wanted to change that teacher mindset about me. So l was fully prepared and l was ready to beat the most intelligent person in my class.
In the process of learning so much , l fell in love with mathematics.
The long awaiting day commence with my eye ready to tell that teacher " Who l am"🫂.
To cut the long story short ,l won the the first section but the teacher say l cheat say Na lie☹️.
The second batch l won , she was surprised to see that Anita won again!
She didn't believe l can but l change her mentality about me.
Words have the power to shape our perceptions, influence our decisions, and evoke strong emotions. ( We just the positive ones to stay live and the right people to keep us going).
This was my best part as a student and it create this walls that every child is unique.
Mr Olaitan awaken the Gaint in Me and shout out to him🤍.
